Networking and connecting with other teachers is crucial in the field of education. Collaborating with other teachers and sharing ideas is what makes classrooms thrive! Networking is very valuable in growing as a teacher and can help land you incredible jobs in school districts you love. It is important to get ahead and begin to network now. It is never too early (or too late) to begin making connections with teachers, principals, and school districts.


At the start of my educational journey, I created a professional Instagram account and a Pinterest account. Instagram is an incredibly easy way to begin connections with teachers in the field. By using hashtags and following teacher accounts, I have already been able to network with teachers throughout the social media community. Instagram allows me to share my own content that I'm working on in classes, while also giving me the option to repost other teachers' ideas. Pinterest, on the other hand, is a little more difficult to directly connect with other educators, but it is still a phenomenal place to find educational resources, crafts, games, activities, and more.
